"Silly Sisters meets the Carthy's." - GARDEN SESSIONS
Tom Kane, Jane Jackson and Penny Forsyth met at Scots folk choir 'Sangstream.'
Although their backgrounds are diverse (Glaswegian, Mancunian & Kiwi) they share a love of traditional Scots music and close harmony singing. They formed a 3-part harmony ensemble in 2003 and sing predominantly unaccompanied, traditional Scots song.
Tanteerie have performed at the Edinburgh Folk Club, supporting Jez Lowe, and the Leith Folk Club, opening for Rory Mcleod. They have been a featured artist on Garden Sessions Podcast 14, subsequently holding the number 1, 2 and 3 spot on the Official Garden Sessions Download chart.
